Stampin' Up! You're Lovely and a free tutorial

Whooo-hoo it's snowing here in Nottingham today. My little boys will be so excited, especially Blake as his class were going for a walk today to a local nature area as they're doing Hansel and Gretal this week and are off to find the 'friendly' witch. I can picture him now catching snowflakes on his tongue!

Anyway, as you know this week sees the start of Stampin' Up! new seasonal catalogue and our Sale-a-Bration promotion. You can read all about it HERE.

And today's card features products from both:

Stampin_Up

The stamp set You're Lovely is one you can get for FREE during Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration when you spend £45 with me. You can see all the products on offer HERE.

I've used one of our Tea Lace Paper Doilies (from the main Stampin' Up! catalogue). Turning it silver is really easy and sooo satisfying to watch too! Just rub a Versamark ink pad all over the doily and then sprinkle with Silver Embossing Powder. Set with the Heat Tool and smile as it turns from gritty grey to lush shiny silver!

The centre circle and silver glimmer banner are leftovers from the Happenings Simply Created Card Kit as is the Silver Button and Silver Bakers Twine. A little goes a long way!

Stampin_Up

Love this stamp set and how it coordinates so well with the Deco Labels Framelits dies too. Happy days.

Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration Sneak Peek

Isn't the weather just completely pants at the moment? Perfect for staying indoors and creating! We've just had a lovely family lunch and the boys are downstairs with The Spark reading some books they took out of the library yesterday so I'm popped up to the room of craft to share my project for today with you.

To know me is to know how much I love to create tutorials so it might surprise you to know I enjoy using other crafters ideas too. I found this cute mini book tutorial HERE and had to make one for myself.

Stampin_Up

It features the very soon to be available Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper. You can get these for FREE with a spend of £45 on Stampin' Up! products with me from Tuesday when our Sale-a-bration promotion kicks off. There are loads of freebies to choose from and there are no limits as to how many you can have either. Just as well as it coincides with the launch of our new Seasonal Catalogue too - there is going to be so much going on in the world of Stampin' Up! you'll be needing to book a day off work to look at it all mwah ha ha!

Here are some close ups of the mini book. I got to print off more photos of my boys, these were all taken in October on a few family days out to Ruddington Railway Heritage Centre, Nottingham Goose Fair and a Spooky Trail at Rufford Park. So lucky there are so many amazing places to take the boys out and they're all on my doorstep too.

Stampin_Up

So we're on a countdown now to Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration. I can't wait to share it all with you!

Stampin' Up! Sneak Peek Happy Watercolor

Busy, busy in the house of Jelly designing lots of classes and projects and I am so enjoying it - the days are flying by. I have to clock watch to make sure I'm not going to be late picking Zac and Blake up from school.

Want to see another sneak peek from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Seasonal Catalogue? I've made a card using my favourite Crumb Cake using a new stamp set called Happy Watercolor.

Stampin_Up

I'm such a fan of clean and simple cards and Stampin' Up! products really do help me to create them too. This is so easy to do and a technique I always go back to! Stamp your image in Versamark Ink and sprinkle with White Embossing Powder. Tap off any excess and set with the Heat Tool.

Next grab your Whisper White Ink Pad and a Blender Pen. Squeeze the ink pad together to release ink into the lid and rub your Blender Pen over it. Generously apply to your image. Don't rub too hard though as the paper is very fiberous.

Leave to dry or heat set again.

I've used Strawberry Slush next. Squeeze ink into the lid and apply with a Blender Pen, this time don't be so generous, it's best to start off light and build up your layers until you get the intensity you want. I've done the edges of the petals in Coastal Cabana and the centre in Crisp Canteloupe.

Stampin_Up

Really simple looking card but so pretty I think. I'm planning lots more tips and tutorials so please pop back by to take a look.

Stampin' Up! Simply Celebrate Sneak Peek

Jelly's at it again teasing you with sneak peek projects using products you can't order yet - but you only have a little while left to wait!

I got so many compliments for the silver card I made this week so have made a gold one for you today:

Stampin_Up

I had fun creating this one, especially as I get to share a few tips with you. Plus I'm in a proper good mood - in the Room of Craft getting into my crafting groove listening to The Cure Greatest Hits!

So - what's going on with this card then? I've used Brushed Gold Card for my base (5" square by the way). Topped with a layer of soon to be available Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum. Don't you just love Stampin' Up!

Hands up if here in the UK you wondered how to use the 'Thankful' die in the Expressions Thinlits Die set? Not a phrase we use a lot on cards, so here's your answer - chop the 'ful' off as shown in the photo below. LOVE the Gold Foil Sheets.

Stampin_Up

Hmm what else can I tell you? No we've not started doing golden adhesive gems, you just need to colour our existing ones with a yellow sharpie or other permanent pen. Other upcoming products I've used include Gold Sequin Trim, Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape and the fabulous stamp set Simply Celebrate. I was so lucky to win this on prize patrol at Stampin' Up! convention in November. i've created my tag again this time using a die from Chalk Talk and only popping the top of the tag through the cutting part of the die.

Now you've seen all that do you have a wish list as long as your arm? Watch this space for news of my soon to begin never ending craft party!!!

You might want to pop by tomorrow as I'll have a FREE tutorial available for you.

Stampin' Up! Simply Sent Snowflake Season Mini Album

When is a Christmas snowflake not a Christmas snowflake? When Jelly gets out her Stampin' up! Simply Sent Snowflake Season Kit and turns it into a mini album instead!

Stampin_Up

So in the Stampin' Up! Simply Sent Kit you get 10 postcards with pop out glittered snowflakes, 10 spotty envelopes, 10 smaller elements and 10 pre cut pieces of Bakers Twine. I toyed with the idea of sending snowflakes through the post at Christmas but never got around to it. Now I have a thing about not using stash I've bought, it really annoys me so today I set about deciding how to use this kit and an album came to mind after our trip to Sherwood Pines at the weekend. I took around 60 photos and I've been itching to get back into scrapbooking - so here it is.

The next collage shows you a few different angles of the album, including the use of the snowflake to bind it and the smaller elements as page tabs. The album itself is made up using the envelopes. I added Bermuda Bay and Silver Ribbons and a Frosted Finishes Embellishment on the spine. I also made use of the Around the World stamp set too.

Stampin_Up

Inside each envelope is a pull out tab with one of the postcards, minus the snowflake as a photo frame:

Stampin_Up

And here are my six double pages. You can see I've used a few of the snowflakes!

Stampin_Up

Finally here are a few close up shots of some of the detail.

Stampin_Up

The Simply Sent Snowflake Season Kit is available in the Autumn Winter Seasonal Catalogue until 1st February. You can see it and all the other goodies included at my online shop HERE.

Yes - the tutorial will be available later this week in my right hand side bar!

Stampin' Up! Perfect Pennants Sneak Peek

Ooh I'm such a fan of the sneak peek 'cos you want to know what it is and then you really want the stash that's been used and then.....you have to wait to get it! That's why I personally love them, because as I'm already a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I get my mitts of new stuff early and get to tease you guys about it too!

Anyway, 'shhhhh' Mums the word and all that don't tell The Spark you've seen this because it's his Valentines card from me!

Stampin_Up
It's a 5" square base in Smoky Slate layered with some soon to be available Fancy Foil Designer Vellum. I cut the tag and finished if off using a Framelit in the Big Shot - you can see how on the photo below.

The silver heat embossed sentiment is from a new stamp set too - more of that in the next week or so! If you like the die cut love, I used Silver Foil Sheet and Expressions Thinlits Dies.

Stampin_Up

Added some sparkle with the Silver Glimmer Card, Silver Ribbon and a Rhinestone Jewel.

Come back tomorrow to see my new class venue, dates and projects too!

Stampin' Up! Cycle Celebration

Woo-hoo, the sun is shining today which always puts me in such a good mood. Add that to the fact the builders have finished plastering the conservatoire and lounge and to be honest I can't smile wide enough!!!

So this week brings lots of Birthdays for both family and friends so guess what I've been making today? Can't share all just yet but have a really pretty one for you today. How many of you are hooked not just to blogging but to Pintrest too? I know I am and often I don't realise how much time I spend surfing my way through and collecting ideas and inspiration. Today that's where my project was driven from. I made this card cased from a beautiful tag created by Joanne B.

Stampin_Up

It's a 7"x5" card in Crumb Cake layered with Basic Black. The 'Happy' is die cut using the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies (I get SO much use out of this set) and the sentiment is from Cycle Celebration. I stamped it in Versamark ink and heat set with White Embossing Powder.

I made the flower in Melon Mambo Card from a right mix of punches and dies - you can view them all in my online shop HERE.

I also used the Bird Builder Punch and Wild Wasabi Card to make the leaves and branches. You can see on the next photo how I screwed up the card to give it some texture.

Stampin_Up

Popped in the centres are Clear Vintage Faceted Buttons with Linen Thread tied through.

I might have to make up another of these to display in the Room of Craft 'cos it makes me smile looking at it. If you'd like to see more of my creations and things that inspire me, click HERE to visit my Pinterest boards.

Stampin' Up! Tape It

Wow we have had such a fabulous family weekend. Yesterday we took the boys and my Mum in Law to Sherwood Pines in the heart of Sherwood Forest to follow the Stick Man Trail and the Discovery Trail too. We made dens, looked for clues, walked, climbed and had oodles of fun and fresh air.

We had a little incident when Blake fell over on a boardwalk and landed on his face, luckily we were not far from the first aid area and the staff were brilliant. So many parents offered us tissues and wipes as I carried Blake, I think there is always way too much blood from a mouth injury than anywhere else. Blake thankfully is fine and didn't need stitches, just a bit of attention and some cuddles. Here's a little of what we got up to:

I took far too many pictures so I foresee a scrapbook session coming my way! We went for a lush pub tea on the way home and the boys ended up going to bed early as they were absolutely shattered.

So this morning I snuck in a little craft time whilst everyone slept in...... at Stampin' Up! convention in Manchester I was thrilled to be a lucky prize patrol winner and won some soon to be available products. I can't show you them just yet but I can share the card I made using one of the stamp sets:

Stampin_Up

If you can't guess it, the sentiment is from the new set. Now I happen to have a new found love for Washi Tape and am glad Stampin' Up! have a variety of different styles available, however if you want some everlasting Washi Tape - you may want to get your mitts on this nifty stamp set Tape It. I've stamped on Whisper White card in Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe, So Saffron, Pistachio Pudding and Smoky Slate.

Stampin_Up_Demonstrator

For a little detail I using the pricking tool and mat to create some faux stitching and joined together with a Smoky Slate Marker. Nice to make something so simple but so pretty.

Must go - more family time planned in now.

Stampin' Up! That's The Ticket Plus Sneak Peek!

Ooooh we have SO MANY new products coming your way very soon and you are going to love them. I actually got in the room of craft today - kind of had to as we had the builders in downstairs (I know, like I need an excuse) and made some thank you cards for the boys to send out. They were really lucky at Christmas and I think I will be needing to make up another batch of cards very soon. Want to see them?

Here you go - the first batch of 15:

Stampin_Up

I've used Soft Suede for my card bases and layered up with some soon to be available Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper, I'm loving them - and love them even more because they were FREE - one of the FABULOUS product gifts we were given at last years Stampin' Up! Convention. I made the tab shaped top and rounded corners using the Envelope Punch Board, a very versatile tool indeed!

Join_Stampin_Up

I've used on of the stamps from That's the Ticket and stamped a sentiment over the top from  before using the Ticket Punch to cut out.

Stampin_Up_UK

Loving the Baked Brown Sugar and Coastal Cabana Ruffled Stretch Ribbon and of course the Candy Dots too.

Stampin_Up_Demonstrator

Just look at these lush paper designs:

Stampin_Up_Class

Only seems right to share with you a photo of Zac when he saw Santa (Farmer Christmas!) had been to visit. He was worried we'd get missed out as we were staying at Grannies. Please note - the presents were for all the family - not just Zac and Blake!

Stampin' Up! catching Up!

Aaargh - where did December go? And then the start of January? Waaay too busy for my liking plus lots of none crafty stuff going on but now I'm back. And I'm starting the new year with a Christmas project, I know you're probably fed up of them by now and are well over Christmas but I have to share with you the teacher gifts I made for Zac and Blake to give to their teachers - they could so easily be adapted to not be Christmas!!

Stampin_Up

I made some paper coffee cups filled with treats and there is a reason I still want to share them with you and that's to play spot the soon to be released NEW products from Stampin' Up! ha ha ha I'm such a tease!

I got the red cups from a local 'everything' shop. They're great as they came with the sipper cup lids too and the shade of red was just perfect. I filled them with Lindor truffles, coffee and hot chocolate sachets. An idea put in my head from my teamie Louise as she made me some lovely slate stamped coffee mats with a fab mug filled with goodies too.

The stamp sets I used are Perfect Blend and Be Very Merry. I mixed them up with the Season of Style Designer Papers and then added lots of new products. I'll give you a clue - gold is the new black!!! Here are a few close ups:

Stampin_Up_UK

And one of the cups on their own. I am so going to make some Valentine versions of these next!
